In Japan, where the final game began at 9 PM local time, it drew 12 million viewers. This came after last Friday’s sixth game – in which World Series MVP Yamamoto gave up one run in six innings – averaged 13.1M spectators, making it the highest-rated Fall Classic game on a single network in Japan.
The full seven-match World Series drew over 15.7 million viewers on the Fox network, a 2% increase from the previous year’s Dodgers versus Yankees series. This marks the first time since 2015 and ‘16 that the World Series has recorded audience growth for two consecutive years.
